The Research Investment for Global Health Technology Foundation (RIGHT Foundation, www.rightfoundation.kr) is a non-profit foundation established through a public-private-partnership among the Korean government, the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation and Korean Life science companies. Our mission is to contribute to improving health and health equity globally through collaborations between Korean and international life science researchers. The Department

# The core function of the Programs and Strategy Department is to:


      • Develop programs and strategies for the Foundation.
      • Actively manage the Foundation-funded grants (“the grants” from herein) with deep engagement with grantees in order to generate strategic insights to guide portfolio development.
      • Analyze the anticipated impact of the funded programs (e.g. Product Development, Evidence Generation and Training in Biomanufacturing) and mitigate risks to impact.
      • Catalyze international partnership for grantees by hosting strategic forums.

# The core function of the Investment Portfolio Management Department is to:


      • Oversee proposal selection per internal investment guidelines.
      • Actively analyze and track progress of investments at the portfolio level.
      • Develop, refine and ensure compliance to the internal investment guidelines governing the Foundation’s investment process.


Position Summary

The Program Coordinator (PC) should be able to work with flexibility, efficiency, and diplomacy in a diverse international environment. This position will be responsible for the coordination and maintenance of operations governing of a range of activities in support of the life cycle of the Foundation’s grant portfolio. The Program Coordinator is expected to become well versed in the Foundation’s process governing grant making and management, and will have a central role in facilitating it, including contract execution, milestone evaluations, grant amendments, and financial reporting.

This position requires a highly organized individual who can manage multiple tasks efficiently, provide support to grantees and internal departments, and ensure the timely and effective execution of grant-related activities. The Program Coordinator primarily supports the Programs and Strategy Department and secondarily, the Investment Portfolio Management Department, This role will enable the high impact work of the Foundation.




Core Responsibilities

    • Daily upkeep and management of specific tasks related to the online Grant Management System.
    • Track grantee deliverables and coordinate milestone-related communications and payments.
    • Coordinate and track payments made to external consultants for service rendered.
    • Facilitate contracts and grant management by communicating between program officers, grantees, and internal operations.
    • Identify operational improvements and implement efficiency-enhancing solutions for internal processes.
    • Provide administrative support to the Investment Portfolio Management Department during proposal selection processes.
    • Support administration and logistics related to planning and organization of online and offline meetings.


Core Skills

    • Administrative knowledge: Familiarity with general administrative procedures and project management.
    • Communication: Strong written and verbal skills, including professional interaction with external contacts.
    • Organization: Proficient in managing multiple tasks and priorities.
    • Technical proficiency: Skilled in MS Office, web-based applications. Skills in grant management systems are desirable.
    • Attention to detail: High level of accuracy in all aspects of work.
    • Teamwork: Ability to collaborate effectively with various departments and stakeholders.
    • Proactivity: Willingness to take initiative and a commitment to personal development.
    • Language: Fluency in English or Korean and proficiency in the other.


Education & Experience

    • A minimum of 7 years of professional experience with at least 3 years of experience in project or portfolio management support is required, preferably in the Foundation’s specific investment areas or in global health.
    • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, public health, international development, science, or a related discipline is required.
    • Experience working in international organizations or with international partners is desirable.
    • Experience working in Korean R&D funding organizations or research institutes is an asset.

Working Conditions

    • Recruiting type: Regular (3-month probation period included)
    • Working hours: 40 hours/week (max. 52 hours a week)

    • Salary: TBD after discussion. The Foundation offers a competitive salary commensurate with experience
